Grand Palms Hotel and Golf Resort's Grand, Royal, and Sabal nines allow you to create your very own personalized course featuring an interesting mix of playability and challenge that every golfer will appreciate. Each strategic layout is equally beautiful, while keeping its own unique flavor. As with most South Florida golf courses, water is the principal hazard, but the designers have kept the forced carries to a minimum and added bail out areas for the more timid golfer.
The addition of more than a thousand palm trees has helped this course mature into the lush, tropical paradise that the designers envisioned. It exemplifies the South Florida golf resort. During your next visit to Pembroke Pines, be sure reserve a tee time at one of the Grand Palms Golf Resort's three golf courses.

Daily Fee golf course
Designed by Mark McCumber, ASGCA
72 par, 7,268 yards
74.9 rating, 133 slope
Heron Bay was formerly TPC at Heron Bay, host of the Honda Classic until 2002. The course was designed by Mark McCumber and opened in 1996 "to challenge and entertain golfers of all skill levels, from amateur to the world's greatest golfers." The course features gently rolling terrain, a network of lakes, over 100 bunkers, multi-tiered tees and greens, and perfectly manicured open fairways. The course is young, so trees are scarce, although hundreds of trees were planted in 1998 and 3 1/2 acres of bunkers were removed to make the course more playable for the non-tour player. Wind is still the biggest challenge at Heron Bay.
The layout of the land at Heron Bay--210 acres of flat, arid and treeless property on the edge of the Florida Everglades--made for a challenging design. With 5 sets of tees, just be sure to choose the right set for your skill level and don't be afraid to leave the driver in the bag.

Many people have seen photos of the famed par-3 third, a stunning island hole and the recently renovated bulkhead-lined finishing hole. But unlike some courses with one exciting signature hole and seventeen other holes that don't live up to that excitement, Palm Beach National features an entire course full of interesting, challenging holes.
The original course was built in the early 1960s, but the late accomplished golf architect Joe Lee, a former Palm Beach National member, redesigned the entire layout in the late 1970s. The course he produced boasts a traditional style more commonly associated with early layouts, and one that's a welcome relief from the many recent Florida courses that are big on style but lacking in substance.
The fairways at Palm Beach National are generally wide and welcoming, but trees, water and other hazards gobble up mis-hits. Both the fairways and greens feature plenty of movement, and all features on the course are maintained to the highest standards.
